Community Service at UMSOD

Each year, UMSOD students contribute thousands of hours of community service, demonstrating an exceptional commitment to serving local communities and improving access to oral health education and care. The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) supports individual students and student groups in their community service efforts by providing service referrals, allocating supplies for clinical/educational service activities, and facilitating service event registration. In partnership with the Student Government Association (SGA) and DDS class leadership, OSA has developed efficient procedures to submit, review, track, and report community service engagement. , students must be personally and actively engaged in providing a service, support, education, outreach, or assistance and submit a signed service reporting form.
