[Baltimore, MD - Feb 28, 2025] – The Students for Non-Academic Careers (SNAC) has officially launched as a university-wide organization at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), open to students from all UMB schools. The organization aims to connect students across disciplines with industry leaders, providing resources, mentorship, and hands-on experiences to bridge the gap between academia and professional careers.
SNAC aims to promote industry awareness, career development, and professional networking while fostering collaboration among students from diverse backgrounds. The organization will host workshops, seminars, and networking events, connecting students with industry leaders and professionals in nonacademic fields.
With a mission to support innovation and professional growth, SNAC plans to collaborate with other student organizations, university departments, and community partners to enhance the student experience at UMB. Leaders of SNAC encourage students to get involved and take advantage of the resources and opportunities the organization will offer.
