Dear Fellow UMB Staff,

I hope this message finds you well as we head into the final months of the year and the upcoming holiday season. I would like to take a moment to thank everyone for their contributions to UMB - without all the support received, our impact would not be what it is. This sense of community and support is why I take pride in working at UMB.

I strongly encourage the continuation of your support in all endeavors across UMB, the Baltimore community, and in your local community. This year, the UMB Staff Senate Community Outreach Committee is once again hosting a Thanksgiving drive to feed families in West Baltimore. Learn more and donate below.

Staff Senate Thanksgiving Dinner Drive

This holiday season, we have the opportunity to spread warmth and joy to families in need in our West Baltimore community. The Staff Senate Community Outreach Committee is asking for your support for our annual Thanksgiving drive.

When you donate just $25, you'll provide a 12-16 lb frozen holiday turkey for a local family of four. Your gift will go directly to families connected to several schools and community organizations in West Baltimore, including the UMB Community Engagement Center, Hollins House, Poppleton Place, and more.

Save the Date: UMB’s Holiday Craft Fair on Dec. 6

Mark your calendars for one of UMB’s favorite traditions, the Annual Holiday Craft Fair, which features homemade and handmade items for sale amid a festive holiday atmosphere.

The 2023 event will feature about 50 vendors from the UMB community and beyond, with some exciting new vendors joining favorites from the past. They will be selling:

• Unique gift items and holiday decor
• Jewelry and ready-to-wear crocheted items
• Olive oils, vinegars, and treats for humans and dogs
• And more!

Transportation Listening Sessions

The Transportation Working Group is seeking feedback from students, faculty, and staff on how we can improve our amenities to better serve the UMB community. Share your thoughts on the shuttle, safe ride, and safe walk. We want to hear about your experiences traveling to, from, and around campus and how we can improve your commute.
