Join the United Students of African Descent (USAD) for an evening of history, film, and community as we celebrate Black History Month. We will be screening the powerful historical drama, The Six Triple Eight!

This film tells the incredible true story of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion—the only all-Black, all-female battalion to serve overseas during World War II. Faced with the daunting task of sorting through a 17-million-piece backlog of undelivered mail, these 855 brave women fought injustice, and grueling conditions to ensure that soldiers on the front lines stayed connected with their loved ones. Their motto, "No Mail, Low Morale," defined a mission that proved to be a turning point in the war effort.

Come learn about this often-overlooked chapter of American history and enjoy food and drinks with fellow students!
Food Provided (Zella's Pizzeria. Various movie snacks.)
