Improv & Leadership

Step into a fast-paced, fun, and thought-provoking hour that combines the art of improvisation with the principles of effective leadership. “Improv and Leadership” is an engaging Lunch & Learn session where students from across UMB's seven schools come together to explore how the core principles of improv—active listening, adaptability, empathy, and collaboration—mirror the skills needed to lead in complex, interprofessional environments.
Through interactive exercises and brief group discussions, you’ll learn how “thinking on your feet” isn't just for the stage—it’s a mindset that fosters resilient and ethical leadership in healthcare, law, science, and service.
No acting experience required—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to participate!
