Executive Presence 101: Public Speaking for Career Success

Step into a confidence-building workshop designed to help you strengthen your voice, sharpen your presence, and communicate with clarity in academic and professional settings. Whether you’re preparing for class presentations, interviews, leadership roles, or community engagement, this session will provide practical strategies to speak with impact.

Participants will learn techniques for managing nerves, structuring compelling messages, capturing an audience’s attention, and communicating with authenticity. Through interactive activities, real-time coaching, and supportive peer engagement, you’ll leave with actionable tools to elevate your public speaking skills and advocate for yourself in any room you walk into.

All UMB students are welcome, especially those seeking to enhance their communication confidence and build skills that create upward mobility in their academic and career journeys.
