Details

This virtual public interview invites students into a reflective conversation with Saima Adil Sitwat on the meaning of home across migration, faith, memory, and belonging. Drawing from Saima’s published work and lived experience, the discussion will explore how SWANA and MENA identities are shaped by diaspora, cultural expectations, and institutional narratives. Through a moderated interview, student Q&A, and guided reflection, participants will examine representation, visibility, and belonging for SWANA/MENA communities within academic spaces. The session will conclude with a civic dialogue connecting personal narrative to campus climate and collective responsibility for fostering inclusive environments. This program is open to all students interested in exploring identity, migration, and belonging through conversation and reflection.
