Details

Brewing Biology is a community-based event that encourages discussion about relevant scientific research and public health. The event on Tuesday, June 16th will focus on environmental impacts on child development, including things like early life adversity, learning and enrichment opportunities, social dynamics, nutrition and living environment. The allotted 2 hours will include a Ted-Talk style presentation by our keynote speaker, Dr. Luana Colloca; a Q-and-A session with panelists from local organizations, universities and government; and time to socialize and network. 

Location: Checkerspot Brewing Company

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Luana Colloca, a clinical researcher at the University of Maryland Baltimore School of Medicine studying the impact of early life adversity on empathy and pain processing.

Food Provided (Light food and refreshments will be provided by Checkerspot Brewing Company. A drink ticket for an alcoholic beverage will be provided for the first 25 registered attendees! )
