Details

NOVA is looking for 10-15 volunteers to run scientific demonstrations for an hour long course at the Crossroads School. There will be 45 middle school students participating in 5 different stations: human to human muscle control via electrical signals, controlling a robotic claw with electrical signals, comparative neuroanatomy, strawberry DNA extraction and challenging the visual system. For each demo, the students will form hypotheses, predictions and generate conclusions as an introduction to the scientific method. Carpooling from campus can be organized.
